Stephen King’s The Shining.
When Stephen King and his wife lived in Colorado.
They were looking for a place for a "get-away."
Someone told them about a lodge that was closing

It became the setting for a best selling novel.
as well as the movie. (true).

Almost every classic novel has a movie based on it.
Pride and Prejudice the 2004 version was one of my favorites.
But are you looking for a more modern book?
July 16th, 2009 at 8:02 am
a really good one to do a project on would def be "my sister’s keeper" because the ending in the movie and the ending in the book are SO different its insane.
so it would be a good one to do a project on because of the endings.
other books would be:
*of mice and men
*harry potter series
*the clique
*girl interupted (thats a good page turner and the movie has angelina jolie when she was first starting out in it)
*twilight
*beowulf (although the movie SUCKS and the writing in the book is kind of hard to read… there are a lot of differences between the two)
*the pact (by jodi p)
*plain truth (by jodi p)
*the tenth circle (by jodi p)
*about a boy
*the narnia series
*the jigsaw man
*the joy luck club
those are all off the top of my head but check out this website for more ideas:
