12 and 13 is so young,
I think a movie with kids dying would be too sad, instead of disturbing.

normally when movies portray the death of a child, the camera will cut away not to focus on the actual event. and if a movie was to show a child’s corpse it is only for a brief second. children death is a very sensitive topic therefore depicting it should be dealt with kid gloves

i think thats one of the best part of a horror film. The intensly disturbing things that stay with you long after the lights go off. If the kids are okay with it, go for it!

a good horror movie should be disturbing and stick with you long after you watch it.
i say go with your idea and don’t worry about if it’s gonna offend anyone, that’s where
the good ones come from.
