I think Flipped would since it’d be hard to convey the shift in Point-Of-View.
The Prophet of Yonwood might make a good movie though. People would cry at the part where everyone has to give up their dogs.
Redwall is being made into a movie. Prepare to be disappointed.

The Augusten Burroughs books would make bad movies, because they are too inappropriate to show or talk about everything, and
A Child Called It would be horrible, because it is very harsh, but maybe that would make it good?

I agree with Twilight….i HATE twilight and the hopes of liking the books were lost when i watched the thing they call a movie, but for me its a bunch of fake and ugly people who have pale skin and freaky eyes

Bad movie
- Ender’s Game. While an amazing book it would fail on the big screen, wince most of the important parts are actually Ender’s thoughts, and I’d get sick of watching a kid think in a movie unlike the way I enjoy listening to him think in a book. And plus, it would be a violent movie. Child-on-child brutal violence is acceptable in a novel but in a movie it would be controversial.
Good Movie
-The Neverending Story. I know it’s already a movie but I think they should remake it using the full story. It’s really a great book and would look good on-screen.

all books end up as terrible movies, because all the movies based on books don’t follow the story. they change details, move s**t around, remove stuff, and add crap that wasn’t there in the first place. they take a great story and and turn it into a steaming pile of horse s**t that entertains the functionally retarded masses. look at the history, every book that is made into a movie makes for an interesting movie. but if you have read the book, you hate the movie. also, when they make a book a movie, people stop reading the book. the lord of the rings series, beowulf, charlie and the chocolate factory, a clockwork orange, fahrenheit 451, all great books that hardly get read any more. "why read the book when i can watch the movie?" why? because the movie never does the book justice, and usually just bastardizes it. turning books into movies is only perpetuation the reality that society is becoming more stupid, illiterate, and retarded.

the Warriors series. Come on. Cats.

I think most books turned movies have difficulty conveying inner monologues, especially when they are oh so important to understanding the characters. So I’d say books like Catcher in the Rye and Wuthering Heights.
I think that’s why (in my opinion) the movie Twilight didn’t convey the same depth as the book.

"Animal Farm".
For pretty much the same reasons "Watership Down" would suck as a movie. Too many animals, not enough humans.

The first thing I thought of was "Clan of the Cave Bear." I read the whole series and was glued to it, but when I saw the movie, it was a major disappointment. The reason for this is that a lot of the communication is through thoughts, feelings and gestures that simply don’t translate into a movie genre.
So it goes.
